Harley Di Nardo is a creator,  producer, director, writer, lead actor, and musician.  Di Nardo has directed and starred in several short films and music videos prior to producing and directing Dead Envy. His short film "Weathered Storms," which premiered at the prestigious Soho House in New York City in 2016, was an official selection of the Soho Shorts Film Festival, and was then selected as film of the month for the Oasis Short Film Screening Series. "Weathered Storms" features a couple trapped in a New York City loft forced to work out their marital differences during a raging storm.  He previously served as creator, executive producer, and director of music videos "GO" by the band Born Pilot, and served as Creative director on OWEL's “Every Good Boy Does Fine". Di Nardo also performed in the MTV pilot “I Just Want My Pants Back.


Prior to his work in film, Di Nardo had a successful career as a musician in New York City, first as the lead singer and songwriter for the band Closer, signed to Irving Azoff's label Revolution Records/Warner Bros., and later with White Light Motorcade, signed to Maroon 5's label Octone/BMG. Closer's debut album was well-reviewed and they toured with Supergrass, Love Spit Love, Chumbawamba, Edwyn Collins, and Peter Hook of Joy Division. White Light Motorcade's critically-acclaimed first album "Thank You, Goodnight" led to tours with bands including Keane, Rooney, The Donna's, Alice Cooper, Ok Go, and Ash, as well as appearing on the MTV/CMJ Advanced Warning Tour alongside The Mooney Suzuki and The Raveonettes. White Light Motorcade’s songs have been featured on television shows and Di Nardo scored music for Adrian Grenier’s SHFT documentary series for Virgin Atlantic flights and has also composed music for various TV ads.


His filmmaking style incorporates his rock n' roll aesthetic as well as a sophisticated use of music and sound in storytelling.
